On Sunday, March 2, a video recorded by passengers on a bus from the company Querétaro Tours captured the moment when the vehicle was struck by a train in Cuatro Ciénegas, Coahuila. The footage shows the impact that left 23 people injured, some seriously. The accident occurred on federal highway 30 when the bus driver attempted to cross the tracks without respecting the warning signals. The driver's recklessness was identified as the main cause of the incident, according to initial reports.

In one of the videos shared on social media, tourists from the state of Querétaro can be seen yelling at the driver to stop before the impact. Moments earlier they had asked him to stop so they could take pictures of the train. The driver complied, but after resuming movement, did not stop, leading to the collision.

After the crash, Civil Protection teams, Red Cross, and GRUM arrived at the scene and transported the injured individuals to hospitals in the region, including Clinic 7 of IMSS in Monclova. As of now, the driver remains at large. The Attorney General's Office of the State of Coahuila, according to the regional delegate, Miguel Ángel Medina Torres, reported that at least 12 people, out of the 32 who were traveling on the bus, filed a formal complaint after the incident.
